I think the following two sentences pretty much sum up the whole article:
1.These Gauls are crazy! "Welcome to a world of Mediterranean-style macho posturing, with a dash of UN incompetence thrown in for good measure."
2. If you want a quality holiday and don't care for clubs full of Brits (I am sure you can get those in the UK too!) head north: "Of course, most people are thoroughly uninterested in the political handbagging and head for North Cyprus for a damn good holiday."
Yes, it's that free paper that litters the tube...But nowadays it has around 1 million circulation and is read by around 2 million probably. Not counting the web...
One page for the article, one full page for an ad, and half a page for various smaller adds (at the colony apparently you pay 850 for 7 nights but at other 5* hotels 7 nights (including the flights) cost you 350 pounds sterling. For tube commuters, you do the math how attractive that sounds...
But I am sure our Shistris and co will run a counter-add that anyone going to Greek-owned hotels will be sued till kingdom come. And the astute Brit who is going for the 350 pound sterling holiday will figure all this out and change his or her itinerary...

Oh dear! Metro is that free newspaper that litters the london underground right?
I find the article a bit misleading. There are neon signs, χωρκάτικα buildings and ignorant Brits in the North as well :)
